Please join the 8^th District Court and a team of dedicated individuals from the Kalamazoo Bar to learn how you can volunteer to help individuals in danger of eviction.  Volunteer opportunities would involve directing individuals to resources, explaining the summary proceedings process, and directing individuals to Legal Aid of West Michigan for potentially full case representation.  December 1, 2025, training and informational will be presented by Tyrone Fleeman and Mary Spiegel.

Bar passers are invited to sign up to be admitted to the practice of law in the State of Michigan and the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan.

Chief Judge Gary Giguere, Jr. of the 9th Circuit Court and Chief Judge Scott W. Dales of the United States Bankruptcy Court Western District of Michigan will preside.

The KCBA will host a reception immediately following the ceremony at the Park Club in conjunction with the KCBA’s Fall Fest
